I am so excited to be starting this blog. I've been perusing other designers' blogs and I love getting inspiration from others and have discovered a lot of new things!
A project I'm currently working on is a master bedroom redesign.
The furniture was too big for the room and there was barely any room to walk around! Heres the room before:

That's all the space there was in between the monster california king and dresser!
The re-design is for a male client and he wanted his room to be a spa-like retreat. For the furniture I went to Ikea and purchased a new "MALM" dresser (it's sleek and man-ly I think), 2 "RAST" nightstands (I will be painting these and giving them some new knobs for a custom look), 2 "ALANG" lamps that have a nice basket weave texture on the shades and one huge "MONGSTAD" mirror.
Some inspiration pics.
Above is a Rast nightstand/dresser all done up. I'm thinking a shiny gray paint on the top sides and bottom with white drawers for his room.
The room has been repainted in Valspar's "Drumskin" satin paint (a nice neutral). I plan on making an upholstered headboard. The fabric I picked out for it is a Hunter Green canvas type of material. I got my inspiration from
Isabella & Max Rooms. I discovered her on HGTV.com and loved her upholstered headboard/wall DIY tutorial. Ill be making my own artwork for the room as well and I'm making my own
stencils for the wall behind the bed. So excited!!!
