OMG I MADE A KING SIZE HEADBOARD!

It was rough. I'm not gonna lie. MANY nails were nailed! Here it is floating on the wall. i used some wall mountings that just allowed me to hang it like a painting. One night while hammering away, I thought: Why do i like this stuff? Why am i kinda good at it? Um....probably because my grandfather is a carpenter and my grandmother is a seamstress and artist! So that's where i get this from in case you all were wondering...

 New bedding coming soon!

soooo many nails ugh!

the new tv above the dresser! (waiting for Fios to be hooked up so the old tv can be ditched, BUH-BYE)

Shout out to my amazing grandparents! I love you! and I cant wait to see you this summer in Massachusetts.

That's us in France at my cousins wedding! <3

Handmade wall stencils!

Sneak peak of the accent wall in the bedroom project. (yes i used a protractor for this! i had a highschool flashback while using it - "this is so dumb, when am i ever going to use this again?!")

I'm still working on the other piece of art that will be above the other lamp and of course working on the headboard. Please don't mind the bed, new bedding will be added of course!

The stencils are a metallic acrylic paint so they look really great when the light hits them.

ART BY ME! Another one is on its way for the other side...how great is the Ikea lamp? love it!

Those are the nails im using on the upholstered headboard. CANT WAIT TO FINISH THE HEADBOARD. (Waiting on fabric to be delivered.)
The fabric is a soft Microfiber that is stain and water resistant. The color and pattern of it is very masculine.

And at $8/yard at http://www.diyupholsterysupply.com/, it was a great buy!

Clothing inspiration

Found this outfit on Neiman Marcus site. It's by Dolce & Gabbana. I love the mix of the floral with the leopard. Would make a great pair of pillows on a white couch or an upholstered chair. (floral on the seat back, leopard on the cushion, Hot!)

MY FIRST BLOG POST! EVER!

I am so excited to be starting this blog.  I've been perusing other designers' blogs and I love getting inspiration from others and have discovered a lot of new things!

A project I'm currently working on is a master bedroom redesign.
The furniture was too big for the room and there was barely any room to walk around! Heres the room before:
That's all the space there was in between the monster california king and dresser!

The re-design is for a male client and he wanted his room to be a spa-like retreat. For the furniture I went to Ikea and purchased a new "MALM" dresser (it's sleek and man-ly I think), 2 "RAST" nightstands (I will be painting these and giving them some new knobs for a custom look), 2 "ALANG" lamps that have a nice basket weave texture on the shades and one huge "MONGSTAD" mirror.

Some inspiration pics.

Above is a Rast nightstand/dresser all done up. I'm thinking a shiny gray paint on the top sides and bottom with white drawers for his room.

The room has been repainted in Valspar's "Drumskin" satin paint (a nice neutral). I plan on making an upholstered headboard.  The fabric I picked out for it is a Hunter Green canvas type of material. I got my inspiration from Isabella & Max Rooms. I discovered her on HGTV.com and loved her upholstered headboard/wall DIY tutorial. Ill be making my own artwork for the room as well and I'm making my own stencils for the wall behind the bed. So excited!!!
